Doppers mission

Dopper does not just make water bottles. These bottles save oceans. Every bottle sold reduces plastic pollution and provides access to clean drinking water where people need it the most.

Worldwide, a truck full of disposable plastic bottles ends up in the ocean every minute, while 1 million disposable bottles are sold in the same minute. Coincidence? Dopper does not think so. Founder Merijn Everaarts decided to take action. He organized a design competition to find the most sustainable alternative to the disposable water bottle. The result? The Dopper bottle. A durable water bottle that allows people to prefer reusable water bottles over disposable water bottles. Since then, his goal has been to stop disposable water bottles from ending up in our oceans.

Dopper is not only good for the ocean but also for people. Water, a necessity of life, is a luxury in some places. That is why the proceeds from Doppers bottles not only support the fight against disposable plastics. Every bottle sold contributes to awareness campaigns, education about plastic-free oceans and the establishment of clean drinking water projects in Nepal. So that everyone can choose a reusable water bottle over a disposable water bottle. Karma points? For sure!

And all this in a sustainable way. The entire current collection is Cradle to Cradle certified, assessed on the choice of materials, reusability of the material, renewable energy, water management and social justice in the production process. Caps are free from BPA and other plasticizers. The Dopper Original is produced in a climate-neutral way in the Netherlands. The Dopper Insulated, Steel and Glass are in turn responsibly produced in China and then shipped on biofuel. And there is more. If you turn your bottle upside down, you will not only have a cup to drink tap water from, but you put water on a pedestal. Shipping Doppers runs on biofuel, in collaboration with the GoodShipping Program. And as the icing on the cake, Dopper is trying to be CO2 neutral by 2030.
