Never settle, stay sustainable

In honour of World Earth Day, we would like to take a moment to raise awareness regarding our consumer behaviour and its impact on the environment. At Freshcotton we aim for a green and sustainable world and we hope you'll join us. International World Earth Day is here to educate, inspire and raise awareness. Therefore, we’ve added a little green reminder in every order bought on World Earth Day.
At Freshcotton we're also taking small steps everyday towards being more sustainable in everything we do. Not sure how you can make a change? Here are some simple tips:
1. By separating and recycling waste, you ensure that waste materials have a new purpose and can be re-used.
2. Minimise the use of plastics and bring your own bag, water bottle or coffee cup when going out. Not sure what water bottle you should get? Take a look at the Dopper collection and join the ‘Dopper Wave’.
3. Don’t throw clothing away, but give them a second life by re-selling, donating or recycling. And be mindful when buying new clothes, looking for sustainable clothing? Check out our webstore and look for the green checkmark. This mark stands for sustainable/organic/recycled products.
4. Travel by foot, cycle, use public transport or take an electric vehicle.
5. Eat consciously. Reduce food waste! This may take a bit more planning or creativity in the kitchen, but hey, we're always in for a challenge right?
6. Don’t over consume. Durability is key in combination with quality, you'll be set for a long time.
This is just a small feature on actions you can take. Want to read more about this initiative? Head over to EARTHDAY to get more information. Never settle and be sustainable. There’s only one planet and we have to take care of her together.
